Knife Crime Squad Nabs Two in St Ann’s Drugs Bust
Nottingham’s city knife crime team has made a major swoop in St Ann’s. Officers on patrol spotted suspicious behaviour in Corporation Oaks around 2pm on 21 February and acted fast.
Foot Chase Ends with Two Arrested
The pair tried to leg it when approached, sparking a foot pursuit. One was caught quick, but the second suspect gave officers the slip—only for cops to catch him near Robin Hood Chase.
Drugs, Cash and Knife Found on Scene
A search revealed bundles of heroin, crack cocaine, and cannabis along with a knife tossed on the floor. A bag stuffed with drugs and a large stash of cash was also seized.
Suspects Held on Serious Drug and Weapons Charges
- The two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, plus possession of a bladed article.
- The younger suspect also faces charges of resisting arrest.
- Both have been released on conditional bail pending further investigations.
Sergeant Matt Daley of the city knife crime team said: “Proactive stops like this are crucial to making our community safer. We’re pleased to have taken dangerous weapons and drugs off the streets today.”
“Our visible presence not only helps us catch offenders but also acts as a deterrent to potential knife carriers and criminals.”
