Woman Charged with Murder After Man Found Dead in Lewisham
A 34-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man’s body was discovered at a Lewisham home. The victim, 72-year-old Christopher Brown, was found at a property on Polsted Road on August 15, triggering a police murder probe.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Habiba Naveed, who lives on Polsted Road, was arrested the same day on suspicion of murder. She was formally charged on August 16 and appeared at bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley Magistrates Court on August 17.
Blunt Force Trauma Confirmed as Cause of Death
A post-mortem revealed Mr Brown died from blunt force trauma. Police confirmed Naveed and the victim knew each other and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing.
