Apple Watch Ultra Gets Oceanic+ Dive App – Turns It Into a Dive Computer!

Apple Watch Ultra just went full deep-sea diver with the new Oceanic+ app. Designed by Huish Outdoors alongside Apple, this slick app transforms the rugged smartwatch into a proper dive computer — perfect for recreational divers hitting depths up to 40 metres (130 feet).

Dive Into Smart Tech

Oceanic+ taps into Apple Watch Ultra’s new depth gauge and water temperature sensors. The combo app system for both the watch and iPhone packs all the must-have features of a top dive computer: advanced dive planning, real-time data, and detailed post-dive reports.

“Oceanic+ on Apple Watch Ultra is one of the biggest innovations to hit the dive industry in a long time,” said Mike Huish, CEO of Huish Outdoors. “We’re creating a better, more accessible diving experience for everyone.”

Features Fit For An Underwater Adventure

  • Apple Watch Ultra holds tough with WR100 water resistance and EN 13319 dive accessory certification.
  • Massive 49mm titanium case with bright 2000-nit sapphire display for clear underwater visibility.
  • Customisable Action Button launches Oceanic+ to pre-dive screen or marks compass bearings mid-dive.
  • Pre-dive planner sets surface time, depth, gas mix, and calculates safe no-decompression limits.
  • Live dive conditions like tides, water temp, visibility, and currents are included.
  • Post-dive, get GPS dive entry/exit spots, depth and temperature charts, and ascent rates on your iPhone app.
  • Unique haptic feedback taps your wrist underwater—even through a 7mm wetsuit—cutting through noisy echoes for clear alerts.

“Underwater, it’s hard to tell where a beep is coming from,” said Andrea Silvestri, Huish Outdoors VP of product development. “The haptics give you a gentle nudge—it’s personal and super useful.”

Ready To Dive?

Oceanic+ is out now on the App Store for Apple Watch Ultra with watchOS 9.1, paired with an iPhone 8 or later. The basic plan is free, covering depth, time tracking, and recent dive logs. Upgrade for £9.99 a month or £81.99 a year to unlock decompression tracking, unlimited logs, and more. Family Sharing lets five divers join in for £113.99 annually.

Remember: Always dive smart. Use a buddy and carry a backup device.
