High-Speed Chases Rock Swanley and Dartford

On Monday night, January 23, 2023, Kent Police sprang into action after a stolen car was linked to a shoplifting at a Swanley petrol station.

Stolen Car Leads to Daring Pursuit and Arrests

The Swanley Local Policing Team tracked the suspect vehicle to Guilden Hall Road. Two suspects were arrested on the spot.

Joe Rossiter, 39, from Hart Dyke Crescent, Swanley, pleaded guilty to multiple offences: dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence or insurance, failing to provide a blood sample, and two counts of theft. He was granted bail and awaits sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court.

A woman arrested alongside Rossiter was released without charge.

Second Chase Ends with Charges in Dartford

Minutes after the first incident, officers were tipped off about another car with false number plates in the area.

With help from the NPAS helicopter, police located and pursued the vehicle to a Dartford address.

Billy Jeeves, 33, from Mayfly Close, Orpington, faced charges including dangerous driving, fuel theft, failing to stop, and driving without insurance or licence. He’s out on bail and next due in Maidstone Crown Court on February 1, 2023.

Rebecca Scott, 32, from Austin Road, Orpington, was charged with allowing herself to be transported in a stolen vehicle. She was granted police bail and will appear before Sevenoaks magistrates on February 23.
