Five Kids Taken Into Custody in Shocking Sara Sharif Case
In a dramatic twist to the tragic death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif, five children who travelled to Pakistan with Sara’s father and stepmother have been seized by Pakistani authorities. This follows a ruling by Senior Judge Javed Iqbal Khokar, who ordered the children, aged between one and 13, to be placed under the care of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau in Pakistan.
Kids Found with Grandfather After Police Raid
The children were discovered at the home of Sara’s grandfather, Mohammad Sharif, in Jhelum during a police raid. Mohammad Sharif had been caring for them since they arrived over a month ago, vowing to protect the youngsters amid the unfolding scandal.
Judge Blocks Possible Return to the UK
In court hearings in Jhelum, Judge Khokar decisively ruled that the children remain in Pakistani custody. This decision casts serious doubts on whether they will ever return to the UK, further complicating the heart-breaking case.
Urgent Police Hunt for Sara’s Father and Stepmother
Meanwhile, local cops in Jhelum are intensifying a manhunt for Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, her stepmother, Beinash Batool, and Mohammad Sharif’s brother, Faisal Shahzad Malik. The trio are wanted for questioning in connection with Sara’s suspicious death.
Sara’s lifeless body was found in her Surrey home on August 10th, just after her father made a 999 call from Pakistan. He had flown out of the UK the day before.
A UK post-mortem revealed Sara suffered “multiple and extensive” injuries, exposing the horrific nature of her death. Both British and Pakistani authorities continue their investigations to uncover the full story behind this devastating tragedy.
