Lancashire Police Hunt Dangerous Sex Offender Stephen Pennington
Lancashire Police are urgently searching for Stephen Pennington, 35, who has vanished after breaching his licence conditions. The registered sex offender has been recalled to prison but is currently on the run.
High-Risk Offender Poses Threat to Women and Children
Pennington is considered extremely dangerous. His criminal record includes a 2009 conviction for the rape of a child. Last year, he was jailed again for breaking a sexual harm prevention order and failing to comply with notification rules.
Described as a slim, white male, around 6ft tall, with short balding dark brown hair, Pennington is a serious risk to children and women in the community.
Police Warn Public to Stay Alert in Blackburn, Blackpool and Wigan
Detective Constable Stewart Marshall from the Mosovo Team highlighted the urgent threat: “Pennington is a high-risk sex offender who presents a real risk to children and women. I urge anyone who sees him or knows where he is to come forward immediately.”
Pennington has known links to Blackburn, Blackpool, and Wigan. Police are calling on the public in these areas to be vigilant and report any sightings.
