Security Guard Brutally Attacked with Bottle in Tonbridge Sainsbury’s

A violent assault has rocked a Tonbridge supermarket after a security guard was battered with a glass bottle. The shocking attack happened at around 8.40pm on 28 September 2023 inside Sainsbury’s at the Angel Centre.

Suspected Shoplifter Goes Berserk After Being Caught

The security guard confronted a man suspected of trying to nick several bottles of spirits. In response, the suspect allegedly grabbed one of the bottles and smashed it repeatedly over the guard’s head before fleeing the scene.

Police Release CCTV Images – Man and Woman Spotted on Train

Kent Police have released new CCTV images showing the suspect and a woman traveling on a train from Tonbridge to Charing Cross. Detective Constable Jo Slevin of West Kent CID said:

“We know the man got off the train at London Bridge. We believe he was travelling with a woman. It’s crucial we identify both of them and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
