Two additional suspects have been charged in connection with the murder of Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto in Thornton Heath.
Omari Peat, 22, of Southampton Gardens, Mitcham, was initially arrested on December 24 and subsequently released on bail. However, he was re-arrested on Thursday, January 11, and charged with murder.
Zac Dylan Baako, 28, with no fixed address, was arrested on January 11 and also charged with murder.
Both individuals are scheduled to appear at a magistrates’ court, with the date to be confirmed on Saturday, January 13. Michael’s family has been informed of this development.
Additionally, John Budal, 19, of Ena Road, SW16, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on December 30, where he faced charges of murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of cannabis. He subsequently appeared at the Old Bailey on January 3, with details of his next court appearance yet to be announced.
The investigation into the murder of 27-year-old Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto remains ongoing. Michael was discovered with fatal stab wounds in Mayfield Crescent in Thornton Heath at approximately 22:30hrs on Tuesday, December 19.
