Two More Charged Over Michael Peixoto Murder in Thornton Heath

Police have charged two more suspects in the shocking murder of Michael Patrick Afonso Peixoto in Thornton Heath.

Omari Peat and Zac Dylan Baako in the Frame

Omari Peat, 22, from Southampton Gardens, Mitcham, was first arrested on Christmas Eve. Released on bail, he was hauled back in on January 11 and slapped with a murder charge.

On the same day, 28-year-old Zac Dylan Baako, currently homeless, was arrested and also charged with murder.

Next Steps: Court Dates and Ongoing Investigation

Both Peat and Baako are due to appear before magistrates’ court soon, with the exact date still pending as of January 13. Michael’s family have been informed of the latest developments.

Meanwhile, John Budal, 19, from Ena Road, SW16, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on December 30. He faces multiple charges, including murder, robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and cannabis possession. Budal showed up at the Old Bailey on January 3. His next court date is yet to be announced.

Michael, 27, was found with fatal stab wounds on Mayfield Crescent, Thornton Heath, around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, December 19. The investigation into his murder is ongoing.
