73-year-old landlord Frederick Allard from Tidworth has been found guilty of sexual assault and causing prostitution after a shock trial at Winchester Crown Court.
Landlord Exploited Vulnerable Women Over Four Years
Allard abused his position as a landlord between February 2019 and January 2023. The court heard he targeted vulnerable women, using threats and manipulation to demand sex acts in exchange for cheaper rent.
Remanded in Custody, Sentencing Set for June 21
Living on Nepaul Road, Tidworth, Allard was immediately remanded in custody following the verdict. He is due back at Winchester Crown Court for sentencing on June 21.
Police Praise Victims’ Bravery, Vow Zero Tolerance
“The victims bravely came forward after meeting Allard when enquiring about rooms,” said Complex Crime Investigator Elly Moxom. “They suffered sexual assault and offensive behaviour, including being solicited for sex to cut rent.”
Wiltshire Police sends a strong message: we have zero tolerance for predators like Allard who exploit the vulnerable for sexual gratification,” Moxom added.
Police Appeal for More Victims to Come Forward
Wiltshire Police urge anyone who believes they may have been a victim of similar crimes to call 101 or 999 in emergencies.
