Motorists in the UK are facing a stern warning from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA): failing to report certain modifications to vehicles could lead to serious consequences, including the potential removal of their vehicle from the road.

Changes that require notification to the DVLA encompass modifications such as alterations to the exhaust system, changes in number plate designs, or even a different paint color. These adjustments need to be officially registered with the DVLA to ensure that vehicles meet the strict standards set under the Road Traffic Act 1988 (Section 75).
