Urgent Recall Alert: Johnson’s 4Fleas Cat Tablets Mixed Up with Dog Packs

Pet shops, wholesalers, and cat owners, beware! Johnson’s Veterinary Products has issued a Class II recall on their 4Fleas 11.4mg Tablets for Cats & Kittens. The trouble? Some batches meant for cats were wrongly packed in dog-labelled cartons.

Mix-Up Could Put Dogs at Risk

The recall affects 6-tablet packs (batch E154176) of 4Fleas tablets. Although these tablets are the lower-strength formula intended for cats and kittens, they were mistakenly labelled and shipped as dog medication. Giving these weaker cat tablets to dogs risks ineffective treatment and potential health hazards.

What To Do Next

  • Wholesalers are being called on to check their stocks immediately.
  • Any affected packs must be quarantined to prevent further use.

Johnson’s Veterinary Products is proactively reaching out to dealers. If you need more info or have concerns, contact them directly at 0121 378 1684 or email [email protected] or [email protected].
