Three individuals have been taken into custody after reports emerged of a stabbing on Heneage Road in Grimsby last Saturday, 15 June. The incident, around 18:50, prompted an urgent response from emergency services.

A 35-year-old man was discovered with stab wounds and was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. He is currently in stable condition but suffers from serious back injuries.

Detective Inspector Steve Antrobus has started to calm the community’s nerves, assuring that a dedicated team of detectives is working tirelessly to unravel the incident’s circumstances. “We believe this to be an isolated event involving acquaintances, posing no further threat to the public,” he added.

While one of the arrested individuals, aged 35, 56, and 20, has been released without charge, the other two remain on police bail as investigations proceed.

DI Antrobus extends gratitude towards the public for their cooperation and urges anyone with information, especially CCTV or dash cam footage around the time of the incident, to come forward. Information can be shared by contacting 101 with log 462 of 15 June or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
