Man Arrested After Woman Dies Crossing Channel in Small Boat
A woman has tragically died attempting to cross the Channel in a small boat, sparking a police crackdown in Kent. A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Boat in Distress with 40 People on Board
French authorities were alerted early Sunday to a vessel carrying around 40 people in distress. Emergency services rushed to the scene, airlifting a woman to hospital. Sadly, she later died.

NCA Arrests Man Over Illegal Immigration Links
On Monday night, the National Crime Agency (NCA) swooped in Manston, Kent, arresting a 29-year-old Egyptian national. The man was questioned on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
The NCA is working closely with French authorities to piece together what led to the fatality.
