Witness Appeal Following Sexual Assault in Calne

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault that occurred in Calne on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Between 7:45pm and 8:00pm, a man was seen attempting to open car door handles along Curzon Street near Springfield Drive, before standing in the middle of the road. A woman, concerned for his welfare, approached the man. In an unexpected and unsettling turn of events, the man kissed her hand and forehead multiple times.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, around 5ft 7ins tall, with short dark hair and some stubble. He was wearing a full camouflage tracksuit at the time of the incident.

Wiltshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the event or has dashcam footage from the area during the specified time to come forward. Your information could be crucial to the investigation.
