A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a van that mounted the pavement in Dagenham, East London.

Emergency services responded swiftly to reports of the incident, which occurred around 2:50pm on Thursday, March 13, near Dagenham East Underground Station on Rainham Road South.

The London Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, and an incident response officer to the scene.

Two individuals, including the pedestrian, received immediate medical treatment at the location before being transported to hospital for further care.

The extent of the victims’ injuries is not currently known.
