A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after a van mounted the pavement in Dagenham, East London. The shocking incident happened at around 2:50pm on Thursday, March 13, close to Dagenham East Underground Station on Rainham Road South.

Emergency services scramble to scene

The London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew, a rapid response paramedic, and an incident response officer immediately after reports came in. Two people, including the pedestrian, were treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital for further care.

Investigation underway

The severity of the injuries is still unknown. Police are probing the circumstances of the crash and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
