A fierce fire has ripped through Busbridge Hall in Godalming, sparked by a BBQ that got out of control and spread into the building. The dramatic blaze has sparked a huge emergency response, with fire crews rushing in from three counties to battle the flames.

The situation escalated into a major incident, with eight fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms deployed to tackle the inferno from above. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are leading the charge, reinforced by crews from Hampshire and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Services.
Residents Warned to Steer Clear and Keep Windows Shut
Authorities have issued a public safety alert urging locals to avoid the area and keep all windows and doors tightly closed to avoid inhaling toxic smoke. The fire, believed to have started at a BBQ before spreading inside, is being fought with high-pressure hose reels and specialist aerial units.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. A Surrey Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said:
