London Hit by a Bloody Week: Stabbings and Shootings Rock the Capital
London has been terrorised by a brutal wave of violence from September 18 to 25. Stabbings and shootings tore through key hotspots like Wembley, Leicester Square, Edgware, Paddington Green, and Brixton. The Met Police are scrambling to catch the culprits behind these savage attacks.
Wembley Shooting: Teen Fights for His Life
Early on Sunday, September 21 at 5:27am, chaos erupted near Atlantic Crescent, Wembley Park. Police rushed to a shooting scene close to South Way and First Way. An 18-year-old boy was found slumped outside the Crystal Club and remains in critical condition days later.
Rafael Reveane Rodriguez, 39, from Middleton Road, Morden, was slapped with attempted murder charges on September 24. Dennis Gambrah, 32, from Lewisham, was also nabbed on September 23. Police are hunting six more suspects connected to the violent episode.
Knife Attack in Leicester Square: Four Slashed, One Man Arrested
Just hours after Wembley’s shooting, a vicious knife rampage tore through Leicester Square at around 1am on Sunday. Four men, aged 20 to 30s, were slashed — luckily none suffered life-threatening wounds.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested. He faces serious charges including grievous bodily harm, affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of a Class B drug.
Knife Violence Spreads Across London Neighbourhoods
- Edgware: On Monday, September 22, police raced to McDonald’s on Stonegrove to deal with a man threatening people with a knife. A teenager got a minor knee cut but was treated on the scene.
- Paddington Green: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the arm on Tuesday, September 23. He was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries. A 17-year-old from Westminster was charged with wounding with intent, weapon possession, and Class B drug offences. He was held in custody after a court hearing on September 25.
- Brixton: Two 16-year-olds clashed in a knife fight on Acre Lane on Tuesday evening. One suffered a stab wound but both escaped serious harm. Police arrived promptly just after 5pm.
The Metropolitan Police have urged all witnesses or anyone with information about these violent crimes to step forward and help bring justice to London’s streets.
