Man Stabbed to Death on Upper Church Road

Tragedy struck on Monday morning (27 November) when officers arrived at an Upper Church Road address to find a man seriously wounded. Despite frantic efforts from police and paramedics, 43-year-old Dominic Wilson died at the scene. A post-mortem confirmed his death was caused by a stab injury.

Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute

Dominic’s family shared a moving tribute: “Dominic was a loving father to his children. He always enjoyed life and lived it to the full. His bubbly character will live on and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.”

The family have asked for privacy during this painful time and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

Four More Arrests in Ongoing Murder Probe

As the murder investigation intensifies, police made four more arrests on Tuesday (28 November). A 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman face suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, two men aged 45 and 54 were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four remain in custody.

Two other men in their 40s arrested on Monday have been released without charge.

Police Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Dewfall said: “This was a shocking attack that tragically ended a man’s life. Our thoughts are with Dominic’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We are committed to uncovering the full circumstances of his death.”

“We thank local residents for their patience and understanding as cordons remain in place — expected for at least the next couple of days.”
