A Rhondda couple has been locked up after getting caught having sex in public – at a popular café’s outdoor seating area.

The scandal unfolded on February 23, 2026, when the café owner in Talbot Green alerted police. Cameras clearly showed Anthony Evans, 42, and Leah Evans, 37, sneaking into the outside seating and engaging in public sex.
Jail Time for Outraging Public Decency
Both pleaded guilty at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on February 27 to outraging public decency and criminal damage. They were each slapped with a three-month prison sentence.
Police Slam “Deplorable” Behaviour
“This was unacceptable behaviour – a deplorable act in a public place, clearly visible to the public,” said PC Ffion Hiscutt. “They now have a short stint in prison to think about their actions.”
