A baby girl has died in a suspected dog attack in Redcar, sparking a major police investigation and multiple arrests.
Three Arrested Over Fatal Dog Attack
On Thursday, a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, causing injury leading to death. After questioning, he was released on conditional bail. Today, police made two more arrests. A 31-year-old woman faces suspicion of child neglect and being responsible for a dangerously out-of-control dog, resulting in death. A 36-year-old man was also arrested on similar charges. Both were released on conditional bail. Police continue to carry out searches at the property as the investigation unfolds.
Scene of Horror: Armed Police Shoot Dead Two Dogs
Officers were called after reports raised concerns for a child’s welfare. Upon arrival, emergency crews found the young girl had tragically died. Armed officers stormed the property, destroying one dog at the scene. Neighbours reported hearing a gunshot. A second dog was later put down after police took it into custody.

Redcar residents are reeling from the devastating event. Flowers have been laid outside the family home since Friday.
