Hampshire police led a major search involving specialist divers, the marine unit, National Police Air Service, firefighters, and ambulance crews. The lake was temporarily closed to the public during the rescue operation.

Three days after the boy went missing, Hampshire police confirmed that a body was found at Testwood Lakes. The incident has been described by local politicians as highly distressing, sparking community grief and tributes at the site.
Community Fundraiser Launched
A fundraiser has been set up to support Ire’s family with funeral and memorial costs, aiming to raise £9,000. Organiser Max Osman shared heartfelt messages on a GoFundMe page, which has already received over 7,500 pounds through around 400 donations.

Floral tributes and balloons have been left at the entrance of Testwood Lakes in remembrance of Ire. His family is receiving support from specially trained police officers as they mourn the loss.
