The family of Carole Langley have paid an emotional tribute to the 74-year-old after she was found dead at a home in Portsmouth.
Carole died at an address in Cyprus Road, Fratton, on Monday, September 14, after emergency services were called to the property. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have described her as a “wonderful mother, grandmother and sister” who always put those she loved before herself.
In a tribute, they said: “Carole was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a kind and loving person who always put her family and loved ones before herself.
“Her love, kindness and beautiful memories will live on in all of us.
“The family would like to thank everyone who have left kind messages of condolence but please ask to respect our privacy at this very difficult time.”
Her family said she would be “sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary launched a murder investigation following Carole’s death.
Scott Langley, 48, of St Pauls Road, Southsea, has been charged with murder. He was remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
The charge is an allegation and criminal proceedings are ongoing.
