Van reverses into Motorcyclist in Fareham

Police officers are appealing for information after a motorcycle rider sustained a minor head injury after falling off his bike in Gosport Road, Fareham.

The incident took place just south of the Saltern Lane traffic lights, around 10.35pm on Sunday, May 22.

An 18-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when a red van, described as being a similar size to a VW Transporter, reversed out of a driveway and into the carriageway.

This caused the motorcyclist to fall off his bike and onto the pavement. He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment to a minor head injury.

The driver of a van has been questioned by officers.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact as soon as possible.
