Flats evacuated following Chandlers Ford chip shop fire
Flats were evacuated and a number of residents treated for minor smoke inhalation following a chip shop fire in Chandlers Ford. More than 50 firefighters from Eastleigh, Redbridge, St Mary’s, Hightown, Romsey, Winchester and Portchester were called at 2:12am to the takeaway shop on Falkland Road.

Man and woman jailed for 15 years for non-recent child sex offences and child cruelty
A man and a woman have been sentenced to a combined 15 years in jail having been found guilty of non-recent child sex offences and child cruelty. Kim Raquet, 61, of Goodlands Vale, Hedge End was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.
Two men jailed for a total of 20 years for Stockbridge burglary
Two men who committed a burglary in Stockbridge have been jailed for a combined total of 20 years. Police were called to an address on Stockbridge Road shortly before 4am on 23 March 2020, where an elderly woman had been left tied to a banister for over an hour.

A woman charged with the murder of a newborn baby after it’s body was discovered in Hythe last year is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates to answer charges 37-year-old Silipa Keresi from Pylewell Road Hythe was arrested last march but was released under investigation.
