The incident, which occurred on Haskard Road, prompted responses from both the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and the Metropolitan Police. The accident unfolded on January 9.
According to a spokesperson for the Met Police, they received a call at 12:30pm reporting a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the junction of Haskard Road and Parsloes Road in Dagenham.
