Appeal for Witnesses Following Fatal Collision in Lambeth

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Lambeth that claimed the life of a local resident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 18 December, at approximately 15:16hrs, when a Honda motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on Kennington Park Road, SE11.

Victim Identified

Emergency services attended the scene and provided first aid to the pedestrian, identified as 57-year-old Rahman Shah, who was subsequently taken to hospital. Tragically, Shah passed away from his injuries on 21 December.

Shah’s family paid tribute to him, describing him as a “very intelligent, educated, and hardworking family man.” They added:

  • “He had the answer to everything. His interests were in education, poetry, and society. He was the only child and brought pride to his family name.”
  • “Shah was the most calm, gentle person you can come across.”

Motorcycle Rider Cooperating

The rider of the motorcycle remained at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.

Detectives are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information, including dashcam footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
