Fatal Lambeth Crash: Local Man Dies After Motorcycle Collision
Detectives are hunting for witnesses following a tragic crash in Lambeth that claimed the life of a local man.
Collision on Kennington Park Road
On Wednesday, 18 December, at around 3:16pm, a Honda motorcycle smashed into a pedestrian on Kennington Park Road, SE11. Emergency services rushed to the scene and gave first aid to the victim, 57-year-old Rahman Shah, before rushing him to hospital.
Sadly, Shah succumbed to his injuries three days later, on 21 December.
Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute
Rahman Shah’s family described him as a “very intelligent, educated, and hardworking family man.” They said:
- “He had the answer to everything. His interests were in education, poetry, and society. He was the only child and brought pride to his family name.”
- “Shah was the most calm, gentle person you can come across.”
Motorcyclist Cooperating as Police Investigate
The motorcycle rider stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with police inquiries. No arrests have been made yet, as investigations continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to get in touch.
