Man, 21, Arrested Over Tony Eastlake Murder
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murdering Tony Eastlake on Tuesday, June 1.
Fatal Stabbing Shocks Essex Road
Police and paramedics were called to Essex Road, N1, at 5:27pm on Saturday, May 29 after reports of a man with stab injuries. Despite emergency first aid, Tony Eastlake was pronounced dead at the scene.
His grieving family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Investigation Underway – Suspect Known to Victim
Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall, leading the inquiry, said:
“Our team has worked tirelessly to identify the suspect in Tony Eastlake’s murder. We hope this arrest brings reassurance to the community after such a shocking and tragic loss of a well-loved man.”
“This attack is not believed to be linked to robbery. We urge anyone who witnessed anything to come forward. If you live nearby or were driving past, please check CCTV or dashcam footage. No detail is too small.”
