A London Fire Brigade appliance has crashed while en route to a large-scale fire in the Rainham and Wennington area, amid growing concerns about ongoing fires near Launders Lane.

The incident was first reported by UK NIP, where a user shared that a fire engine was involved in a collision while attending the scene.
Emergency services are understood to be tackling the renewed blaze, which residents say has again blanketed parts of Rainham and Wennington in smoke. The area was previously the focus of a major incident in 2022, when fires caused widespread damage and evacuations.
