M40 remains Blocked after Lorry Carrying Rock Salt Overturns

Fire Crews from Bicester, Kidlington and Woodstock were called to this overturned lorry carrying rock salt on the M40 between Junction 9 and 8A just after 10:30 this morning. Fight Fighters worked with Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service team to make the incident safe which is currently being dealt with by Highways England. Fortunately the driver was not significantly injured although the motorway is currently shut between Junction 9 and *A to release the significant tailbacks.
