Lorry Carrying Rock Salt Overturns on M40
Fire crews from Bicester, Kidlington, and Woodstock rushed to the M40 between Junction 9 and 8A after a lorry carrying rock salt overturned just after 10:30 this morning.
Emergency Services Team Up to Tackle Incident
Firefighters joined forces with Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service, and the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service to secure the scene. Highways England is currently managing the ongoing cleanup.
Motorway Shut, Major Tailbacks Build
Thankfully, the driver escaped with only minor injuries. However, the M40 remains closed between Junction 9 and 8A, causing serious traffic delays.
