Major blaze rips through undergrowth in Hook

Fire crews from three countries are dealing with a major blaze on Hazeley Heath in Hook. There are currently ten fire appliances from Hampshire Berkshire and Surrey dealing with 500 square meters of undergrowth well alight. Crews from Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Bordon, Rushmoor, Basingstoke, Andover, Whitley Wood and Surrey are currently dealing with a large fire on Hazeley Heath, Hook. Crews are likely to remain at the scene for some time. Hampshire Fire and Rescue have also mobilised their command and control unit to the incident. Residents in the area as being asked to keep windows and doors closed and for people to avoid the area.
