Massive Blaze Rips Through Hazeley Heath in Hook
Firefighters from three counties are battling a huge fire on Hazeley Heath, Hook. Ten fire engines from Hampshire, Berkshire, and Surrey are tackling a roaring undergrowth blaze covering 500 square metres.
Crews From Across the Region Join the Fight
Teams from Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Bordon, Rushmoor, Basingstoke, Andover, Whitley Wood, and Surrey are all on site. The scale of the fire means crews will be there for hours.
Residents Urged to Stay Safe
Hampshire’s Command and Control unit has been deployed to coordinate the emergency response. Locals are warned to keep windows and doors shut and avoid the area while firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.
