Tragic Murder Shock in Bexhill
Emergency services rushed to Watermill Lane, Bexhill, at 1.45am on Saturday after concerns for a woman inside the property.
The woman, in her 70s, was found dead at the scene. A man, also in his 70s and known to her, was discovered with serious injuries. He was arrested and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police Launch Major Investigation
Officers are piecing together the events leading to this shocking incident. Detective Chief Inspector Chris Friday of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Unit said it’s being treated as an isolated tragedy.
“At this stage, we are not looking for anyone else in connection to it,” he said. “We urge anyone with information to come forward.”

The police will maintain a strong presence in the area for days as the investigation continues.
