An investigation has been launched by Surrey Fire and Rescue following a fatal fire that broke out on Boxing Day (December 26th). The unnamed person has died following a property fire on Hurst Road in West Molesey Fire crews from Surrey and the London Fire Brigade were called and have launched a joint investigation with the Surrey Police into the cause which is understood to be unclear. A spokesman for Surrey Police said: Officers were called to an address in Hurst Road, West Molesey, at around 7:30am on 26 December, after a fire broke out at a flat.

 

A person who was in the property when the fire broke out was sadly declared dead at the scene. 

 

Fire and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

 

We are working with our colleagues from the fire service to establish the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
