Woman Grabbed From Behind in Broad Daylight Near Salisbury
Shocking CCTV footage shows a woman attacked from behind by a stranger as she walked along a path near Churchill Gardens, by the Salisbury Sea Cadets building. The brazen assault took place around 2.30pm on Sunday, 27 October.
Suspect Description Revealed
The suspect is described as:
- White, middle-aged man
- Medium build
- Light grey hair
- Wearing a smart black coat, grey or dark trousers, and smart shoes
Police Appeal for Help After Disturbing Attack
PC Lou Poole from Wiltshire Police said: “This is a really concerning incident that took place in a busy public area during the middle of the day. We are aware that this footage may be distressing; however, we are appealing for anyone in the area on Sunday 27 October or those who may have recorded dash cam footage nearby which might help us identify the offender, to contact us.”
She added: “Please study the CCTV carefully to see if you recognise the man behind this appalling assault. Consider sharing the footage with friends and family members who don’t use social media to help spread the word.”
Witness Identified, Investigation Ongoing
The victim has consented to releasing the video. The cyclist who witnessed the attack has been identified and is assisting police. Anyone with information is urged to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime log 54200108088.
