A woman has died after being hit by a lorry in Battersea

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Wandsworth. Police were called at 8.36am on Friday, 12 July to reports of a scooter being in collision with a lorry at Queenstown Road, junction with Battersea Park Road SW8. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A woman in her 30s had suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin. At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Road closures remain in place, these include Chelsea Bridge, Nine Elms Lane and Prince of Wales Drive, while officers complete on-scene investigations. Anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any dash cam footage is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 1979/12 June or Tweet @MetCC.
