Chatham man has been charged with sexual assault after an investigation by Kent Police



The victim reported that on Thursday 30 May 2024, a man not known to her got on the same bus as her and her friend in Snodland, heading towards Larkfield.

As they went to the top deck of the bus, he sat in the next row to them. As the victim went to go back downstairs she reported that as she walked past him, the man sexually assaulted her over her clothing.

Following an investigation by the Maidstone Vulnerability Investigation Team, including reviewing CCTV footage, officers arrested a man.

On 8 June 2024 Kareem Esono-Dagrasa, 22, from Maidstone Road, Chatham was charged with sexual assault on a female.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 30 September.
