Man Arrested After Sexual Assault on Snodland Bus
Victim Targeted on Bus to Larkfield
On Thursday 30 May 2024, a woman travelling with a friend in Snodland was sexually assaulted on a bus heading towards Larkfield. The victim reported that a stranger boarded the same bus and sat directly behind her on the top deck. When she moved to go downstairs, the man allegedly touched her inappropriately over her clothing.
Police Launch Investigation and Make Arrest
The Maidstone Vulnerability Investigation Team quickly sprang into action. After reviewing CCTV footage from the bus, officers arrested a suspect linked to the incident.
Kareem Esono-Dagrasa Charged and Bailed
On 8 June 2024, 22-year-old Kareem Esono-Dagrasa, from Maidstone Road, Chatham, was charged with sexual assault on a female. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was granted bail ahead of his next hearing at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 30 September.
