A 24-year-old man from Fife, Grant McAuley, has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The conviction follows a search of McAuley’s residence in Dunfermline by law enforcement officers in July 2022, where they discovered several hundred still images and videos on his electronic devices.

The arrest led to legal proceedings, and McAuley entered his guilty plea at Dunfermline Sheriff Court in August of this year. His sentencing occurred on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
