Police Scotland Stamp Out Child Abuse Online
Detective Inspector Adrian Ure from Police Scotland’s National Child Abuse Investigation Unit voiced strong condemnation. He said:
“Grant McAuley’s offending and behaviour was appalling. He showed utter contempt for the child victims and the horrific sexual abuse they suffered, in the images and videos he was viewing and sharing.”
Ure added:
“McAuley wrongly believed he could hide his crimes online. But there is no hiding place. Thanks to our investigation, he now faces the rightful consequences with a custodial sentence.”
Police Warning: Child Sexual Abuse Crimes Will Not Be Tolerated
This grim case underlines Police Scotland’s zero-tolerance approach to any form of child sexual abuse. Officers are urging anyone aware of abuse or at-risk children to come forward immediately. The force is committed to protecting vulnerable children and bringing offenders like McAuley to justice.
