Police raced to Hornsey Rise, Crouch Hill, on Monday 24 November at 10:27am after reports of an attempted burglary.
Suspect Flees but Caught on Bus
The 31-year-old suspect bolted before officers arrived. But cops tracked him down and detained him on a nearby bus following a chase.
Tasers Fired After Knife Threat
He was spotted carrying a knife. When he refused to drop the weapon, officers discharged tasers to gain control.
Officers Assaulted — But All Are Okay
During the arrest, two officers were spat at and two were physically assaulted. All four were treated in hospital but later discharged. Fortunately, no injuries were life-threatening or permanent.
The knife was recovered at the scene.
