Authorities are urgently seeking information about a man following disturbing incidents where two teenage girls were sexually assaulted in North Greenwich station. The distressing events occurred approximately at 5 pm last Friday, March 22, on the escalators within the station premises.
During the first incident, a teenage girl, while ascending the escalator, suddenly felt something wet on her leg. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was bodily fluid from the man positioned behind her.
In a separate but equally distressing incident, another teenage girl experienced a similar sensation on her back and bottom while on the escalator. It was during this encounter that the assailant sexually assaulted her.
British Transport Police have released a photograph of a man they urgently wish to speak to, believing he possesses crucial information vital to their ongoing investigation. Members of the public who recognize the individual in the photo are implored to come forward and contact British Transport Police immediately.
The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated, and authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed similar incidents or has pertinent information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police commented on the gravity of the situation, stating: “Detectives investigating two sexual assaults at North Greenwich station are today releasing this CCTV image in connection.” The spokesperson continued, “Both incidents happened at around 5 pm last Friday (22 March) on the escalators at the station.
