Police are appealing for public assistance following a shooting in Croydon that left a 50-year-old man injured.
The incident occurred at 11:25 pm on Monday, 23 December 2024, when officers were called to reports of a man shot on Godric Crescent in New Addington.
Emergency services arrived at the scene, and the victim was transported to hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand. He has since been discharged, but continues to receive medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
Detectives are working to identify two suspects involved in the shooting.
Detective Inspector Martin Thomas from Specialist Crime said:
“We need to arrest these men whose recklessness is dangerous. If you have any information, please contact us immediately.”

At this time, no arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the suspects to assist in bringing them to justice.
