A woman was subjected to a stabbing incident at a residence in East London last week, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch an investigation. The victim was discovered by authorities around 9:00 am with injuries and subsequently transported to a hospital. Fortunately, her injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening or life-changing.
In connection with their ongoing investigation, the Met has released a photograph of an individual they wish to speak with. Identified as Catalin Bostan, a 46-year-old Romanian national, the man is approximately 5’8” tall and of stocky build. It is believed that Bostan may have had a prior association with the woman who was attacked.
According to statements from the police, Bostan is suspected to be sleeping rough in the Barking or East Ham areas. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, burgundy trainers, and a black coat with a white stripe. Police caution against approaching him directly but urge individuals who may encounter him to immediately contact emergency services by dialling 999.
Furthermore, individuals with any information regarding Bostan’s whereabouts are encouraged to reach out to the police by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111. Referring to CAD 5365/2 Feb can help streamline the process.
