Chadwell Heath Lane, Romford East London, remains closed this morning after a woman died following an attack in the early hours of Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that detectives from its Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) are leading the investigation.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Chadwell Heath Lane after reports of the attack Despite the efforts of paramedics and police officers, a woman was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.
A murder investigation has now been launched, and a police cordon remains in place while forensic teams carry out detailed enquiries.
