A 44-year-old man from Northampton has appeared before Stafford Crown Court to face a string of serious charges, including child sex offences, stalking police officers on social media, and perverting the course of justice.
Simon Tilley, of Branksome Avenue, Kingsthorpe Hollow, Northampton, was formally charged with a total of nine offences:

One count of attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity (alleged to have occurred on June 4, 2021).

One count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child (between June 6, 2021 and July 1, 2021).

One count of possessing extreme pornographic images depicting an act of intercourse or oral sex with a dead or alive animal (December 12, 2022).

Three counts of stalking with intent to cause serious distress under Section 4A of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 (alleged in 2024).

Three counts of perverting the course of justice (between March and December 2024).
Tilley pleaded not guilty to all charges during his court appearance.
