Northampton Man Faces Shocking Child Sex and Stalking Charges

A 44-year-old Northampton man has been slammed with a series of serious criminal charges. Simon Tilley, from Branksome Avenue, Kingsthorpe Hollow, appeared at Stafford Crown Court accused of child sex offences, stalking police officers on social media, and perverting the course of justice.

Nine Charges Laid Against Simon Tilley

Tilley faces a staggering nine offences, including:

  • Attempting to make a child aged 13 to 15 watch or look at sexual images (June 4, 2021)
  • Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child (June 6 to July 1, 2021)
  • Possessing extreme pornographic images involving animals (December 12, 2022)
  • Three counts of stalking with intent to cause serious distress against police officers in 2024
  • Three counts of perverting the course of justice between March and December 2024

Tilley slammed the allegations, pleading not guilty to all charges during the hearing.

Bail Granted But Strict Conditions Imposed

Despite the gravity of the accusations, Tilley was released on bail ahead of his trial scheduled for 18 May 2026 at Stafford Crown Court. The court placed strict conditions on his bail. He is banned from contacting any police officers involved in the case or posting anything online about the proceedings.
