Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed that Danny Cahalane, the 38-year-old victim of a brutal acid attack in Plymouth, has sadly died in hospital.
Danny, a father and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% trainer, was attacked with sulphuric acid inside his home on Lipson Road on 21 February 2025, while caring for his young daughter.
He succumbed to his %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% on Saturday, 3 May.

In a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% tribute, Danny's family said:
As a family, we are %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% to come to terms with Danny's passing. Danny was an outstanding father and son… We cherish his love and memories and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% for privacy during this time.
Paris Wilson Among Those %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%%
Danny's former girlfriend, Paris Wilson, 34, from The Quay, Plymouth, appeared in %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_7%% last week charged with:

- Conspiracy to %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_9%%
- Participation in organised %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_10%%
Wilson, a former probation officer who previously volunteered at Dartmoor %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_11%%, was seen crying in the dock at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court during the hearing.
She has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear again at %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_12%% Crown Court on 12 May.
Nine %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_13%% Now Charged
In %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_14%%, nine individuals have been charged in connection with the acid attack.
